👿 Man Sues ChatGPT Over False Information
Mark Walters from Georgia decided to sue OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT.
Why, you ask? Well, Mark claims that ChatGPT generated a fake legal summary about him, accusing him of fraud and embezzlement. Talk about an unexpected twist!
A journalist was asking for details about a real lawsuit involving the Second Amendment Foundation and Washington's Attorney General.
But instead of giving accurate information, ChatGPT went wild and provided a completely made-up story about Mark being sued by the foundation for some serious financial shenanigans.
Now, here's the kicker: Mark has nothing to do with that lawsuit or the foundation! He's just a radio host, not a criminal mastermind. Poor guy must have been shocked to hear about these false accusations.
This incident is due to a problem called "hallucination". It's when the AI model generates completely false information without warning, mixing fiction with reality.
The results can look convincing, with bogus citations and made-up sources. OpenAI even warns about the possibility of incorrect or biased content on its website.
Both OpenAI and their competitors have acknowledged this issue, and they're working on fixing it. It's a tricky problem because AI models like ChatGPT still have their limitations and can make mistakes or "hallucinate" facts.
So, it's important to take their outputs with a grain of salt, especially in serious situations.
All in all, this lawsuit adds a dash of drama to the world of AI. It's a reminder that even though AI can do amazing things, it's not perfect and can sometimes create chaos with its wild imagination.
Let's hope they sort this out and make AI even smarter and less prone to spreading fake stories.
🔥 AI goes viral with memes
Neural net-generated memes are one of the best uses of AI on the internet.
I discovered this website called Imgflip that generates meme captions using a neural network. It's seriously addictive!
The best part is, it takes the pressure off being clever because it automatically fills in the captions for you. And get this, the captions it comes up with are hilarious most of the time!
They have all these classic meme templates like the distracted boyfriend, Drake in "Hotline Bling," and Oprah giving things away.
You just click on the template and boom, the site generates a caption for you. But wait, there's more! If you don't like what you get or you want to see more ridiculousness, you can just refresh the page for a new caption.
It's meme madness!
Imgflip trained the neural network using public images uploaded by users.
They do warn that there might be some inappropriate language in the auto-generated captions since they didn't do any profanity filtering. So, watch out for that.
I got on the meme-making action, and I've had a blast. I've gathered some of my favorite memes for you to check out. Plus, you can see the popular memes generated by others too. It's meme heaven!
👀 Instagram’s Leaked AI Chatbot
Listen up! Word on the street is that Instagram might be bringing an AI chatbot to its DMs.
Alessandro Paluzzi spilled the beans, saying that the chatbot would be able to answer questions and give advice.
But wait, it gets cooler! You can choose from 30 different personalities for this chatbot. It's like having your own virtual friend!
Apparently, the chatbot can even help you write messages when you're talking to someone. Just imagine, it's like having an AI assistant right in your DMs.
And get this, you can call on the chatbot by using the '@' symbol. It's like summoning a digital genie!
But hold up, Instagram hasn't officially announced this yet. Paluzzi has a reputation for predicting features before they're announced, so we'll have to wait and see if this is legit.
But Mark Zuckerberg, the big boss of Meta, did mention that they're all about generative AI. So, it's not entirely far-fetched.
Other platforms like Quora and Snapchat have already introduced their own chatbots, so it's not surprising that Instagram wants to join the AI party.
Although, I gotta say, Snapchat's chatbot didn't receive the warmest welcome. People were like, "Nah, bro, not feeling it."
If this Instagram chatbot becomes a thing, it could be a game-changer for businesses. Imagine having an AI assistant handle customer chats 24/7.
It's like having an army of bots working for you while you catch some Zs.
Generative AI is blowing up. ChatGPT, the AI behind all this chatbot madness, has been smashing it.
It even outperformed Instagram and TikTok with over 100 million monthly active users. That's insane!
So, keep an eye out for this AI revolution in your DMs.
It could be the start of a whole new way to chat and interact on Instagram.
Who knows, maybe one day we'll be talking to AI personas that can do all sorts of cool stuff!
